The Wagner Duo

Craig and Lance Wagner are a father/son multi-instrumental duo. Their performances include music from a diverse palette: vocal favorites, traditional Irish fiddle tunes, folk instrumentals, and up-beat jazz piano standards. Their variety ensures there is something for everyone's musical taste!

Lance Wagner is an Irish fiddle champion and a jazz pianist who has studied with jazz professors at both the University of Michigan and Michigan State. He's performed with traditional Irish bands, contra dance bands, and as a pianist in large jazz bands. He is also an Irish fiddle teacher in the Ann Arbor area. 

Craig Wagner is a pianist, singer, and hammered dulcimer player (an ancient folk stringed instrument). He has played with bands for weddings and parties, and as a soloist at dulcimer festivals. He has also published an album of original compositions on piano and hammered dulcimer.

As a duo, Lance and Craig are in demand, playing at over 50 Senior Living Centers in Southeast Michigan. Their array of gear - including electric piano, folk instruments, and mics/speakers - will fill both intimate settings and larger gathering spaces with music that is sure to delight (but, never too loud).

They engage, tell stories about their tunes, and bring smiles to people's faces, playing favorites people remember from their younger days, along with fresh instrumentals.
